The familiarity of the Christmas story can sometimes be a hindrance to our hearing it with all the freshness and power with which it has been given to us. Because we assume we already know the story, we may not listen as carefully and thus not benefit once again from the good news of Christmas.
This has been a hard year of being alone and isolated for so many of us; it is easy to feel overlooked and forgotten. With that in mind, this year our Advent sermons will focus on “Overlooked People and their Unlikely Role in the Christmas Story.” We hope that as you consider the coming of the Christ on these ‘lesser’ characters, you may have a fresh encounter with the living Christ.
Join us live or by livestream to experience the Christmas story as perhaps you’ve never experienced it before!
